Hopping day and night
Hopping day and night: Downtown is where the action happens in most major cities, and Portland is no exception. Here’s just a small sampling of what you’ll find:
Pioneer Courthouse Square: Also known as Portland’s living room, Pioneer Courthouse Square is right near Hotel Vintage. Spend time people-watching and just hanging out in the city’s most visited site and cultural hub, where more than 300 events are hosted each year.
Pearl District: Artists and designers reclaimed the historically industrial Pearl District, making it home to some of the city’s best shopping, galleries, and restaurants. On the first Thursday of every month, people pack the streets for art exhibitions and happy hour specials.
Tom McCall Waterfront Park: Home of annual events like the Waterfront Blues Festival and the Bite of Oregon, Waterfront Park is a beautiful spot bordering the Willamette River. It comes with biking trails, walking paths, a fountain, and plenty of open grass for a picnic.
